Renter’s Guide

Welcome to Crystal Coast Rentals

I hope you find that perfect rental property to stay in while visiting the Crystal Coast.

The following is a guide while browsing rentals on this site:

  1. I do not manage the rentals, the reservations, or anything else. You are renting from either the homeowner or their chosen management company.  I”m simply helping you find their rental property.
  2. In the unlikely event you have a bad experience with a homeowner or their rental manager email me. Not that I can really do anything except in extreme cases remove their listing.
  3. Pets - Some properties allow pets, and some don”t please respect these owners wishes and NEVER bring a pet into a rental that is not pet friendly. The owner or next guest may be allergic to your pet. Not to mention many management companies will evict you immediately without a refund.
  4. Smoking - Once again respect the rental owner”s wishes. It”s their property, you”re a guest in it so be respectful. If the rental  is non-smoking, don”t smoke inside.
  5. Shop Around – There are literally thousands of rentals along the Crystal Coast. They come in many types, sizes, and especially prices. First determine what your needs are then compare rentals from this site and the many others to find the best deal.
  6. Relax and enjoy yourself. You”ve found the ultimate vacation spot…the Crystal Coast!

  1. Hello,
My name is Kourtney Daily and I just had a few questions about maybe renting long term. I am not sure if you even do that but I am running out of time and need to find a home. My husband is in afghanistan until May, and I am currently in Georgia with family while he was deployed but I am coming back at the end of Feb. to get into our home and get situated. Problem is we don’t have a home yet. I don’t know if you can help but me and my husband are looking for a place in Topsail, Surf City, Emerald Isle, Indian Beach, just anywhere right near the beach. Its just us two, no pets no kids no roomates. We are very clean respectful people, we love the beach and love having our own space, we need it. All we really need is 1 bed 1 bath. Anything you can do to help would be awesome. We hope we wont have to spend more than 850-900 a month. Like I said I have no idea you might laugh at this, but I am really tired of getting scamed and ignored by other agencies. I would be willing to work something out if you are. Contact me anytime.

    Thank you so much,
    Kourtney

  2. Hi Kourtney,

I personally don’t manage any rentals (though I may start someday). But as a long term renter myself, I know how hard it is to find decent housing here.

If I were you I would stop by shoreviewproperties.com they’re a really nice couple and keep their rentals in great shape. Their properties are in Emerald Isle. If that doesn’t pan out, check craigslist.

Of course as a last resort get in touch with Bluewater or Emerald Isle Realty. They always seem to have a few long term rentals available.

    Best of luck to you,
    Jason

  3. Jason,

Im looking for a cottage to rent in Feb 2011 for a 3-4day weekend. Its just for 2 so small is fine.. my only 2 requirements really are a fireplace ( wood or gas) and a hot tub thats outside on the deck we can get into. Anywhere on the Crystal Coast is fine Beaufort… any of them.. any suggestions on how to go about it? This is much more difficult than i expected. Thanks

  4. Hi Mical,

I personally don’t manage any rentals. I have however forwarded your preferences on to four of the larger management companies in the area. If I hear from them I will shoot you an email and you can get the ball rolling with them. :)
